Please, don’t hate me.

I really have zero patience for door-to-door solicitation of *any* kind. I’m talking everyone from pest control companies to girl scouts. They sometimes interrupt my very precious family time on weekend or in the evenings and I am just over it. So…if there is such thing as a nice way to tell people to KEEP AWAY, well, maybe this sticker is it (available here).

I purchased a 10″ version for less than $20 shipped and a 5″ planter for less than $10 shipped on ebay over the last couple of days. From my research so far, Hull or Haeger are the popular makers of the simpler all-white versions. And I don’t think you have to be religious or a “believer” to appreciate these planters. As a mother who finds herself a wee bit frazzled these days, I think the patient and kind expressions will serve to calm me. Always a good thing.

There are a few pretties available on etsy right now too:

from merrysunshine

glass bowl (goodwill, 1.99) + some nifty air plants + river rocks (how about these?) + little toys from playroom = a sweet terrarium like the one seen below. let’s hope.

Happy Earth Day.

Inspired by Sophie’s succulent, I’ll be adding a few more (low maintenance) living green plants to the interior of the house. These etsy options are lovely.
