picture ledges are easy

I mentioned Daughter’s wooden letters/name a while back and even showed them leaning on the inside of the window sill. They’ve been sitting in that same position for a while, just waiting on a final place to reside. I’d been putting the project off because having to nail each letter separately and perfectly spaced had me paralyzed. So.much.work.Ugh. This weekend I came up with a solution. A picture ledge! This way, I can easily lay the letters on the ledge now and just as easily change it up in the future. Maybe get some different letters or frame some of her artwork? And, I like how the ledge has a built-in look once attached to the top of Daughter’s closet (with doors permanently removed).

built-in look

Look for the picture ledge in future projects. I’m thinking a set of 3 or 4 in Son’s room as a book display!

  1. I love it…
and you could probably even make it for very very little money!

  2. Make a picture ledge yourself? Yeah, you probably could and that would be a good idea, especially if you don’t want white (it also comes in black). But, for $14.99, it is a pretty good deal too.
